Jimmy was born in San Antonio, Texas to James Cannon and Martha Sue Dikes Cannon on July 21, 1979. Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hardy and Sarah Cannon, and Fred and Ruth Dikes. He is survived by his mother, Martha Sue Cannon; his father, James Cannon, and his wife Kathy; sister Kimberly Sanchez, and her husband Daniel. He was a proud uncle to his cherished nephews Zachary Sanchez, and his wife Stasya, Camilo Sanchez, and Easton Sanchez; and his adored nieces Alyssa Sanchez, Madeline Sanchez, and Aurora Sanchez. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jimmy played soccer and football at MacArthur High School. He attended UTSA. He enjoyed spending time outdoors at the beach and fishing. He was a big Dallas Cowboy, University of Texas, and Spurs fan.
On Monday, September 21, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home in San Antonio, TX visitation will be at 1:00pm. A service will take place at 2:00pm. Then a graveside service will occur at 3:00pm.
