James “Jimmy” Weldon Cockrell Jr., born on April 05, 1947 in Greenville, Texas was called home to be with the Lord, on April 21, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 71. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Freida Spoonemoore and James Weldon Cockrell Sr. Jimmy was a long time resident of Seguin, Texas. He will be greatly missed by all. Jimmy is survived by his beloved sister Barbara, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 12 noon at funeral home chapel with Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
