James N. Collins

James N. Collins, age 93, passed away peacefully at his home in San Antonio, Texas on October 2, 2017. He was born on October 23, 1923 in Corsicana, Texas, to James I. and Inez L. Collins. He had a great love and passion for everyone who came into his life. He adopted and welcomed anyone into his family and home. Farming and flying, always working hard, he served his country, family and community well.

In his later years writing became his passion. He was a teller of amazing stories that no one will ever forget. He was preceded in death by, his wife, Frances C. Collins. James is survived by sons, James T. Collins (Ann), Joseph Collins (Emilia) and Jeffrey Collins (Deborah); 6 grandchildren; James I. Collins (Scarlett A.), Benjamin J. Collins, Bethany E. Collins (Joey), Jordan P. Collins, Noelle F. Collins and Ryan J. Hodges (Nikki); 4 great grandchildren, Annika A. Collins, Ryker J. Collins, Owen B. Scotch and Xander Hodges.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
