Ervin and his wife, Terry; mother, Vergie Ervin; brother, Al Ervin and his wife, Yvonne; brother, Doug Ervin and his wife, Pat; sister, Virginia Holmes and her husband, Leonard; grandchildren: Nathan Dyer, Megan, Hanna and Wyatt Ervin, Cheyenne and Chaely Zigmond.
James retired from Sears after thirty years of service and started his own business, Ervin Enterprises. He was very satisfied with what he had accomplished. He felt his greatest accomplishment, though, was his relationship with his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.
James thanked God everyday for the blessings He bestowed on him all through his life, but he especially thanked God for the blessings of his children and grandchildren. He always called them his "trophies of Grace."
Visitation will be Sunday, January 21st from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary.
