

James G. Parks, lovingly known as “Papa Jim,” entered eternal rest on February 20, 2018 at the age of 77. A native of Rice Lake Wisconsin, he was born to Francis and Lois Parks on March 20, 1940. He reunites with his parents, brother Jerry Parks, sister Lana Goodenough, and his two wives, Yvonne and Darlene Parks. He is survived by his daughter Cindy Taylor and husband Clif, son James L. Parks; grandson Christopher Timmer and wife Lisa and great-grandchildren William and Marley Timmer. James faithfully served his country for 29 years in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Major and received numerous medals and honors for his service and commitment. Upon retirement he opened up his own business, Global Training Academy. He was well known for his dynamic and generous personality. A mentor to all, Papa Jim would give the best advice to all whom seek it. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, shooting, and watching movies in his free time. A wonderful father and grandfather whom will be missed dearly. The family invites guest to celebrate his life on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by 11:00 a.m service.
