'I just learned of Jay passing away today, 7/20/2016. As I type this I'm filled with love, sadness, and only wish I could have spent more time with James as adults. The last time I saw James was in Helotes, we were both playing in a Texas Hold'em tournament, all of a sudden I hear, " Is that Leo, Leo Lozano, I turned and it was Jay, we laughed, hugged, and asked about our families. James, (Jay), Tammy and David, Russell and Kelly Morgan, Dallas, Rex, Davy, and Patty Dry, my little brother Alex, and I all lived on Goodhue. Our houses made a circle at the corner of Fonville. So many memories of us, roller skating on Saturday, I'll never forget one Saturday James was already an advanced skater and I was hanging on to the wall, James said Leo watch, he turned backwards and started hauling buns, he looked so cool! I remember David racing home on his bike from Krueger yelling , "Jay scored another touchdown". Jay and I both had these ducks we had gotten from Salado creek, I remember his diving into this little pond he made in his yard, I was so jealous LOL. James was good person, friend, and my memories of him will always be special. My love and prayers go out to Mrs. Hallowich, ( Mr. Hallowich God rest his soul), Tammy and David, and his family I never had the pleasure of meeting. There was only one Jay Hallowich, and I know he is smiling down on us. Thank you James for being my friend.'

Jay absolutely loved Make LBJ and we had the pleasure of spending a few 4th of July weekend's with you guys. Jay was a selfless person, always making sure others were taken care of before he got to his stuff. He really loved the outdoors.
