He was a good “Cellie”
 When we was incarcerated up in Dallas. He worked in the kitchen and would bring me back sone treats. He did not have to do that

I so sorry that he is gone. He was a great Father,son, husband, grandpa. I love him, but he is in a better place. No pain,no sorrow, no worries. He was a great boss to my dad,too. My dad misses him too.

i never knew how much i'd miss you, dad, or how hard it would be not to "see you next weekend" or get your funny texts about foxy. i thank God for you, for the wreck i got in last month in order to spend more time with you. thank you for holding my hand in the hospital and helping me with everything that last week. thank you for loving me, thank you for disciplining me, thank you for providing for me, thank you for teaching me a love for music, thank you for giving me a sense of humor, thank you for taking me to church, thank you for teaching me how important it is to eat dessert first :) thank you for torturing me by waking me up early tickling me as a kid, thanks for all the memories, thanks for being my daddy. i love you so much and i miss you even more.

I have known Jim for several years now. I cannot think of him without thinking of his pressed Levi's and gentle spirit. He always had a kind word and time for a friend. Every Christmas, he showed up without fail to our home with a tin of Petra's cookies. My children always looked forward to it, he will be sorely missed. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

Big Jim & Petra:
You were the best neighbors and I will always remember the over the fence conversations we would have while you both were sitting in the back yard enjoying one anothers company.  We never had mixed words and I will miss the talks and listening to your stories about the grand kids and your take on the Spurs!  Petra remember we are just next door if we can do anything at all.  My son always said Mr. Jim is my best customer and you always encouraged him to be a go getter and I thank you and Petra for that tremendously.  
The Crisp Family

Though we didn't live in the same town (or even the same state) much of the time, Uncle James always kept his nephews in mind and showed he cared. He would invite us to come and stay with his family during the summer, take us places and was always ready to help out with a ride to the airport or whatever you needed. He had a heart to match his height. We are going to miss you, big guy!

We as teenagers grew up to be parents very quickly many years ago. We relied on and helped each other as brothers and sisters would do at that age. James was always around to help and care when needed. He will be thought of daily and surely missed by many. My prayers go out to your family and your wonderful mother.

My Uncle James was a great guy.  Always friendly and generous.  He had the ability to mess with me just enough to let me know he cared.  I guess I'm going to have to take up some of his ways.

James was a fun-loving spirit with a huge smile and a hearty laugh. Jim provided lots of fun when we were kids and loved to load us up on the sweets & toys.  Even though I have not heard his laugh in many years I can still hear the joy. My prayers go out to Zeta, Laurie, Jason, Stacy, Petra and all of his family members who will miss him dearly. We only met Jim one time just two weeks ago, but realized our instant connection because of the love he had for his grandchildren as we do ours.  Our hearts go out to his family.  You are in our prayers.

To the Stewart family, please accept our condolences on the passing of James to be with our lord.  He was a good man and will be missed.

I never knew Jim personally, but he raised a great daughter, Stacy. She is an honest and loyal friend and for that he can always be proud. Those traits are not simply found, they are instilled from an early age and fostered for a lifetime. Thank you Jim for giving us this great gift. Rest with God in his house and we shall meet you there some day.
