James Leo Lightner, born in Davidson, OK, on April 4, 1907, died in San Antonio, on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at the age of 99.
He was a piano, voice and choral instructor, a top breeder of Cornish Rex Cats, and a horseman who attended The Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria.
Mr. Lightner brought the first Haflinger Horses to the U.S.
He received his Masters of Music from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL, and was the Music Director of 7th Division of the U.S. Army
