

Jim was born in East Chicago, the son of Hungarian immigrants. A trumpeter from his public school days, he played in the Navy Band, and became the first & only American to join the Musikverein of Oberammergau, Germanymarching and playing at the Munich Oktoberfest and village holidays. The Pasztor family lived 5 years in Bavaria and cherish the memories.
His day job was with the Dept. of Defense where he ran personnel and management training programs for the top brass.
Jim is survived by his older brother Andy & wife Marge and his twin brother Steve & wife Lou.
He was preceded in death by sisters Helen & husband Michael Beres and Emma & Joe Kmiotek. Dad leaves behind 4 sons, Jim, Greg, Dave, their wives, Patrice, Patty, Susan, & Barbara; Grandchildren: April, Shannon, Annalise, Elisabeth, Nat, Eric, & Abby and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held in Annandale, Virginia on Thursday, April 30 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Jim's wife Evelyn, or the Village at Incarnate Word where he was welcomed and made to feel at home these past few years.
