

Jim attended the Lowell Whiteman School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and graduated from Trinity University. He produced and directed KSAT's PM Magazine before joining Grubb & Ellis, where he was an industrial specialist for more than 15 years. He was a strong supporter of wildlife management and conservation programs, including activities for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and served numerous board positions, including president and treasurer, for Medina Ranch Incorporated. Jim loved nature and sought adventure. His friendliness and warmth touched many people from all walks of life who now mourn his loss.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Elizabeth and their daughter Lauren Pipkin. He is also survived by his father, Dr. James Pipkin, Jr. and his wife Claire Regnier, his mother, Leslie McLeod, mother-in-law Kathleen Griffin and Dr. Robert Griffin, aunt and uncle, Reverend and Mrs. David Douglas, Sharron & Ray Lafreniere, Patricia and Vernon Brady and Camille Tyler along with numerous cousins and countless friends. He joins his paternal grandparents Dr. and Mrs. James Lewis Pipkin and his father-in-law Dr. John Webb.
