Jim received his Bachelor's degree from LSU. He was an accomplished sculptor and musician.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Pruitt and Doris Krueger Pruitt.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Betty Moss Pruitt; brother, John J. Pruitt and wife, Linda; nephew, Nolan Pruitt; niece, Paige Woodard and husband, Travis; one great-niece;one great-nephew and his adored four-legged companions, Channie, Gloria, Maggie, Otis and Jake.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can made to the ASPCA.
