James Deal Roberts

Jim was born in Houston, TX on August 29, 1947. Jim graduated from Jeff Davis High School and attended the University of Houston. He married Maggie Roberts on December 12, 1973, in Houston, TX. He worked as a Network Manager for SW Bell/AT&T for 43 years.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, William D. & Audrey Roberts and granddaughter, Avery Nelson.

Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maggie, daughter, Miranda Nelson, son-in-law Eric Nelson, grandson Everett Nelson, and son, Gregory Deal Roberts, sister, Suzanne Roberts West, husband Gayle West and several nieces and nephews, as well as grand nieces and nephews.

He was an Eagle Scout and the campout director for the Boys Scouts Troup 652, Houston, TX.

He was a history buff, and enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling and flying Beechcraft airplanes. He was known for his spaghetti and meatballs. We will miss him cooking it every holiday season.

Above all, Jim loved his family.
