He was born April 27, 1945 in Sanford, North Carolina to Walter Clem Lasater and J. Kathryn Farrell Lasater. Earl graduated from Pittsboro High School in 1962.
Following high school he attended University of North Carolina earning a Master of Arts in Social Work. Earl served 22 years in the United States Army both Active Duty and Reserve. He then continued to serve Service Members as a social worker for the Veterans' Hospital Administration.
Most recently his work benefited homeless veterans and the returning service members of OIF/OEF. Earl found beauty and joy in music, was a devoted Tarheels fan and sports enthusiast. He received many awards for his photographic works and was an avid golfer. Earl married the former Denise S. Sandberg of York, PA.
He is survived by his wife Denise; daughter Monika Nikole Morris and her husband Bryan; two grandchildren, Wesley and Wyatt; his brothers, Robert J. Lasater, Walter Harold Lasater; and sister Ann Lasater.
Earl will be greatly missed by family and friends.
