We are very sad to hear about Jimmy. He was so dear to us all...one day when our day comes may we all meet once again with him in a better place. If there is any thing any one of us can do our arms are always open.

To all of Jimmy's family, I am so sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. He was a dear person in our lives. He and my cousin Modene and my husband Odie double 
dated and were always together in our teen years. We would go to the Dixie Pig and Jimmy showed us how to eat Fritos and Buttermilk which is still 
a treat today. We also still make Mrs. 
Williams hamburger stew. There are so 
many good memories.

Jimmy was loved and respected by all that knew him. We have fond memories of him being part of our family. He loved being with our family as much as we loved having him. When he entered a room his presence was known. He had a way about him that could make everyone feel special. His smile and voice was so beautiful. He and Shirley joined our family many times at Aunt Ethel and Uncle Tom?s for musical get togethers that would turn into an evening of fun and laughter. Our prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May the Lord grant you peace and fill your loss. Time and prayer will be the healer of all things. We have such fond memories of Jimmy. He always made you feel special to him, always had a smile on his face, and was a loving presence. He meant a lot to us and the entire Lackey family. Aunt Emma loved him like a son and was so very proud of him. He was a good man and will be missed by many. So many of our loved family members were there with open arms as Jimmy crossed over. Our pappy and James Roy's Daddy were brothers. We have spent our whole life listening to stories about the shenanigans of James Roy and our Daddy, Cliff Blackwell. God made them cousins, but they built a life long friendship on their own. Time and circumstance has kept our families apart, but we do know that whenever he was around, we felt in awe. He was a wonderful person who made everyone he spoke to feel important. His family meant alot to him and he wasnt afraid to show it. Knowing that he is gone will leave a sad place in our hearts and the hearts of our entire family.

To Jimmy's family: I am so sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. He came into my families life when I was about 8 years old when he met my cousin Shirley Modene. He was the bouncer at the Arcadia Skating Ring where we all had so much fun in those days. Oh, what wonderful memories I have of those days and having Jimmy there is part of them. Charles remembers living down the road by the railroad track from Jimmy in Elmdale, TX., a town of maybe 100 people. He remembers Jimmy having a beautiful blue green car that left a trail of dust as he went by Charles' house. We remember a great guy.

I ran around with Jimmys sister Kathy. When he married Shirley he was my cousin for life. Always a smile on his face and loved his Aunt Ethel,her cooking and the musical get togethers we had growing up. He had a beautiful voice. I have fond memories and pictures of Jamie and Jimbo, Shirley and Jimmy in Abilene. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of his family. I remember how he loved his Lord and is probably walking with him right now, pain free and singing his praises. God Bless.

James Roy Williams I will always remember James Roy as a person with integrity. He was one of my favorite relatives. He was always pleasent to be around and he always had time to find out what was going on in your life. He was one of the most tallented people I have ever know. He could play anything with strings and his voice was wonderful. The family reunions always seemed to be lacking something if James Roy wasn't able to attend. But if he was able to attend the reunions were filled with laughter and lots of good music, with him right in there picking and grinning. What a wonderful guy. I Love you and you will be missed very much.
