

He was born in Springfield, Illinois to Hazel and Louis Zaccagni on October 12, 1945.
After attending Griffin High School in Springfield, he went on to graduate from Southern Illinois University with a degree in accounting.
During the Vietnam War, Jim worked as a medic in the United States Navy stationed at Coronado Bay.
He practiced as a CPA for thirty seven years both in Springfield at Pehlman and Dold and in San Antonio, TX at Lowrey, Zaccagni, and Powell, LLC.
Jim was actively involved at both Community Bible Church and Riverside Community Church. He took pleasure in serving God through leading many bible studies over the past 25 years.
His grandchildren were the light of his life and their Papo will be greatly missed.
Jim delighted in working on his house and in his garden.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Zaccagni; his son, Zachary Zaccagni and his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Kirsten Burkholder and her husband, Jacob; his son, Hayden Zaccagni and his wife, Amber; his daughter, Amanda Herring and her husband Jonathan; his 8 grandchildren; his sister, Joyce Sickle of Battlecreek, MI; his sister, Sandy Meir and her husband, Bob of Phoenix, AZ; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dick and Marilyn Thies of Urbana, IL and David and Beth Player of San Antonio, TX; and his mother-in-law, Wilma Player.
