Jamie Kathryn Roberts

Jamie Kathryn Roberts went to be with the Lord on February 16, 2012, at the age of 70 after a brave battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Mason County, Texas on September 10, 1941 to James and Geneva Bishop and was a lifetime resident of San Antonio. She was a graduate of South San High School. Jamie's life was centered around her family, friends and church. She was a talented seamstress, always in demand for weddings, proms, and other special events. She was a member of Parkhills Baptist Church for 45 years, where she was not only a staff member in the office for many years, but also enjoyed her work with the children in the Mother's Day Out program. She also served faithfully in the kitchen by preparing meals for the church and was always cheerfully willing to serve wherever needed. Jamie leaves behind her 3 children, David Burrows and wife, Debbie, Kim Zinsmeyer and husband, Vince, and Debbie Whitis and husband, Lamar. She will be remembered by her brothers, Donald Bishop and wife, Barbie, and Gary Bishop and wife, Adrienne. Her life is also celebrated by her 3 grandchildren, Kelly Burrows, Emily Zinsmeyer, and Brantley Zinsmeyer, her 2 nephews, Don Bishop and James Thomas Bishop. She was preceded in death by her niece, Jana Bishop. She will be lovingly remembered by R.D. Roberts as well. Jamie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who will be dearly missed and will live forever in our hearts. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
