

Jayne Elizabeth Huey, 79, passed away on November 3, 2001. She was a native of Pennsylvania, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seward Wright Young, and had resided in San Antonio ever since her marriage to Charles Marshall Huey, her husband of 57 years. Married to a U.S. Army officer during World War II, she was honored to serve as an Administrative Assistant in the American Red Cross, and she also did a great deal of volunteer work at Brooke Army Hospital. For fifteen years she taught a Sunday School class of Junior High School girls at Christ Episcopal Church, and was subsequently involved in various activities of the church over the years. She was a devoted, exemplary mother to her three children and a proud and loving grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Charles M. Huey, Jr. and wife Cindy, of San Antonio; a daughter, Adele Sweeney and husband, Thomas Sweeney, of Del Mar, California; a daughter, Anita Galgan and husband, Donald Galgan, of Vail, Colorado; and grandchildren, Frances Jayne Galgan, James Marshall Sweeney, Elizabeth Grace Huey, Brandon McKim Clementson, Kathleen Blaine Clementson; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Samuel W. Young, of San Antonio.
