Jane Terry Warden

Jane Terry Warden, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, age 82, of San Antonio, went to be with Her Lord on April 15, 2009. Daughter of Chester & Mildred Weyrich Terry, Jane was born in Houston, Texas, on September 26, 1926. She married Marcus E. Warden, Jr. on August 25, 1950. They shared almost 41 years of marriage before his death in 1991.

Jane was also preceded in death by her grandson, Chad Michael Warden.

She is survived by her children: Terry & David Schoenert, Christopher & Luana Warden, Tracy Paseur, Jill and Dennis Wyatt, and Rebecca & Bryan Karp; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Jane is also survived by her brother Bill Terry of Aurora, CO, a niece and 4 nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends.

Jane retired from teaching after 27 years. She was a 50 year member of The Order of the Eastern Star with Bexar Chapter #616. She was an active member of the San Antonio Conservation Society, volunteering at NIOSA in Sauerkraut Bend.

She was a member of Church Women United of San Antonio, having served as President and held other offices at the local and state level, as well as receiving the Valiant Woman Award and Life membership. She also was involved in Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church.
