Janet Marie Burge

Janet Marie Burge, was a loving, highly creative, artistic, intelligent, generous, humorous individual with a penchant for living life to the fullest. She was reunited in heaven with her parents, Dona and Frank Burge, on July 25, 2015. She was born May 7, 1939 and became a life-long Texan at heart growing up in Plainview, Texas.

Her professional passion was devoted to nursing education. She inspired and challenged students to pursue excellence, and to practice compassion when caring for others. After retiring, she spent countless hours creating one of a kind jewelry. She felt immense pleasure when giving these beautiful pieces to family and friends and even to occasional strangers, as she often performed random acts of kindness. Her physical absence will be felt acutely by her sister, Joyce Burge, her beloved friend, Judy Terry, her treasured "Side By Side" buddies, and multiple close friends and family members.

A memorial service will be held at the Porter Loring Mortuary North on August 5, 2015 at 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to the American Heart Association in her memory.
