Janie A. Hernandez

We have lost a wonderful person Janie A. Hernandez, age 79, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in San Antonio on May 20, 1943, to her parents, Alejandro Anderson, and Juanita Lopez Anderson. She was married to her husband Joe G. Hernandez, for 45 years and they got married on July 5, 1968. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents, Alejandro Anderson, and Juanita Lopez Anderson; her baby sister and her brothers, David and Danny Anderson.

Janie A. Hernandez is survived by daughters, Geraldine, Monica, and Sandy; sisters, Yolanda Cervantes (Lino Jr.), and Elida Carreon; brother, Alex Anderson; grandchildren, “The Golden Child” Anthony (Ashley), Brandon, Harley, Devlin, and David; great grandchildren, Baby Anthony, Josiah, and another baby on its way; as well as many more nieces and nephews.

Janie will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother that was always dedicated to her family. Everyone loved her sense of humor, which is how she would always light up a room. She was known for being the life of the party. She will never be forgotten and will be missed so very much.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
