Jason W. Plant, age 54, passed away on September 4, 2026. Born November 25, 1971, Jason will be remembered with deep respect for the steady strength he brought to those around him and the thoughtful way he moved through the world. He lived in San Antonio, Texas.
Jason pursued his education with purpose and determination, graduating from St Phillips College with an Associate of Arts in Business Administration in 2015. His commitment to learning and growth reflected a disciplined mind and a quiet resolve that served him well throughout his life.
Professionally, Jason built a distinguished career grounded in dedication and capability. He spent 17 years with Southwestern Bell/AT&T, and when he had exhausted the challenges available to him there, he moved to CPS Energy to work in IT security. In every role, he brought careful judgment, a sharp intellect, and a calm steadiness that others could rely upon.
Away from work, Jason found balance and renewal in the outdoors. Time outside exploring helped steady him against the pressures of corporate life. Fishing and hunting became a regular rhythm of rest and reset, but it was diving that grew into a true passion. Jason planned dive trips with great care, always intent on seeing something new each time he went. Through diving, he gained endless new experiences and lasting friendships.
Jason’s legacy is one of quiet strength and genuine kindness. His steady presence offered peace to those who knew him, and his quick wit—paired with a remarkable mind—drew him into a richer social world than he ever expected to want. He will be deeply missed and sincerely honored by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
