He is preceded in death by his sister, Julia M. Flores.
Javier is survived by his parents, Jose Luis and Maria De La Luz Barajas; beloved wife, Cynthia Redhead Barajas; siblings, Rick Barajas (Karina) and Liliana Briones (John); brother in law, Jorge Fernando Redhead (Melissa), his loving nieces and nephews and his dogs, Reddy and Roxxy.
Javi had a beautiful heart. He is often described as humble, easy going, and kind. He was a food critic and always knew the best places to go out and eat, from tacos, BBQ, pizza, etc . He loved spending time with his wife and his family. He was the cook of the house, the jokester, the handyman and the safe-place to come home to. Javi made everything special, his presence (and his jokes) light up the room. He was the chillest guy you would ever meet. Even on the hardest days, he always optimistic, grateful, and of high spirits. Talking to him would put you on a better mood. He loved listening and telling stories, often asking many questions to keep the conversation going.
He enjoyed having long phone conversations with his nieces and nephews. Javi was the man to go to for the hard conversations as he would tell it like it is. He would remind you what is really important in life.
He was a lover of animals as well, he adored his two dogs and his horses. He would participate with his horses in Team Roping competitions.
He dreamed about living in a big ranch with many horses, to see historic places, and simply having a good life next to his wife and dogs.
To know him is to love him, Javi will be dearly missed by many.
