Javier Antonio Ibarra, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026, at the age of 60. He was born on April 27, 1966, and leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Javier was a talented and hardworking man who enjoyed drawing and working with his hands. He had a caring heart and found fulfillment in working with the elderly in the neighborhood. He also had experience in auto body work, a skill that reflected his dedication and willingness to work hard.
Javier was preceded in death by his parents, George D. Ibarra and Elena Martinez Ibarra; his sister, Azalea C. Paiz; his brother, Joaquin A. Ibarra.
He is survived by his siblings, George D. Ibarra Jr. (Gina), Laura R. Ibarra, Juan A. Ibarra, Maricella Ibarra (Pedro Moncada), and Chriscelda Ibarra; his brother-in-law, Jesse Paiz Jr., as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Javier will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the lives he touched, and the love he gave to his family and those around him. May he rest in eternal peace.
There will be a Visitation held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Holy Rosary will be recited beginning at 7:00 pm. On Friday, September 11, 2026 our doors will open at 8:30 am. We will go in procession for a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St Gabriel Catholic Church, 747 SW 39th St, San Antonio, TX 78237. Committal will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226.
