Jay served four years, active duty in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Air Force Reserves, as a Major in the 433rd AES at Kelly AFB. He earned a B.A. and MBA from Southwest Texas State University.
Jay was employed by Newgistics, Inc in Austin as a Senior Software Developer.
He is survived by his father, Dennis Niemeyer and wife, Rita; mother, Kathy Shearer and husband, Bob; sister, Robin Niemeyer; daughter, Rowan Niemeyer and her mother, Ann Harrington and numerous loving friends and family.
