'Jayne Walton was an admirable lady. She was Lawrence Welk's second champagne lady from 1940 to 1945 and hearing her sing was a delight.'

'I first met Jayne at the 1st Lawrence Welk reunion show in Branson in 2000. 
We struck up an immediate friendship - I'm a bandleader in the Chicago area playing Lawrence Welk's older music and one of my "regular" dancers at the Chicago ballrooms was one of Jayne's dearest friends. Jayne had been friends with her since 1940. In the past 10 years, I have found many rare phonograph recordings of Jayne and gave her many surprises with the recordings I mailed her. I even found some rare photos and films of Jayne with the Welk band, surprising her again. We had long talks on the phone - she remembered everything about the "old days on the road." I told Jayne she should write a book, but that never happened. But I treasure the time I spent reminiscing with her. She was one of the best!'

'Jayne Rosen's Family, 
 I am one of the sons of Bill & Doris Read who has been a good friend of Jayne for many years. Jayne was the sister of my mother's ballet Teacher back in the late 40's & 50's. My Mom became good friends with her and her family, and kept in touch with her for many Years. I was glad to see her at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and on my Dad's birthday, which happens to be the same day as hers. Also, both of them graduated from the same High School, just 11 years apart. I was always proud to know someone from Lawrence Welk show which I watched when I was younger, especially one of the Champagne Ladies which was Jayne. I always looked foward to hearing her stories and experences of her life. I was always glad to see her in the Department Store, Rhodes and then Dillards. We will miss her very much.'

'I only knew Jayne Rosen a short time at Morning Side Manor, but cherished her stories of days as the "Champagne Lady". She was always thinking of her family and friends and was so sharp. She will be remembered fondly and often by many of us who were priviledged to know her.'

'I really enjoyed seeing Jayne on the Lawrence Welk Milestones and Memories show. She is such a beautiful woman. There are many people who would have loved to have been able to have been in her shoes to say they got to perform with Lawrence Welk and his orchestra! What memories her children and grandchildren will have of her!

'I can remember when Ms. Rosen first came to Kaulbach Assisted Living at Morningside Ministries. We sat down to talk about her moving in. While we were talking my co-worker over heard her say that she sang with Lawrence Welch. Well, he found some Champagne lady pictures of Ms. Rosen on the internet and he printed them up. Ms. Rosen was very sweet to autograph them for us. We were so star struck that she did that for us. I think it made her feel good as well. Later on as she adjusted we became closer and spoke more about the Champagne Ladies days. Ms. Rosen always had a story or joke to tell about her Lawrence Welch times. She then told me that she introduced the the spanish song Maria Elena to the United States and perfomed it. I asked her to sing it for me and each time she would say that if she was to sing, it would not sound very good because her voice had changed. I would never forget that day she gave in and began to sing Maria Elena for me. It was not very loud but loud enough for me to hear. That is the prettiest song I have ever heard. It was even more beautiful, because it was sung by such a wonderful,beautiful,spirited and very funny woman. It has been a pleasure and honor to serve such a women as herself. She is now making beautiful music once again with Lawrence and the rest of the Champagne Ladies. There is a lot more jokes and stories being told in heaven now. May God continue to Bless and comfort her son Daniel Rosen and Doris Reed who is to me the most wonderful friend a person can ever have as she was always there for Ms. Rosen.'
