Jean graduated from Edison High School in 1954 and for several years was a member of Northside Baptist Church where she was the church secretary. In was there that she met her husband Earle Bolton, and they were married by Pastor Tallie Williams in 1957.
Later Jean worked for Northside ISD and UTSA where she was the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Management and Marketing. She retired from UTSA in 1991.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Earle H. Bolton and her sister, Linda J. Harrison, both of San Antonio, Texas.
A private memorial service will be held in her home at a later date.
