Our most loving, beautiful and feisty mother, Jean L. Hall, better known as "Moni" or "Ms. Jean" to family and friends, was finally granted her wish of going home the morning of May 5, 2013 at the age of 91 (and a half)! She was a funny, witty, artistic woman who never missed a party. She had the gift of gab and had something to say about everything or just to tell you a thing or two. She was a gypsy at heart and to be her travel partner, you just had to accept the fact that she would stop at every town in between, just to buy buttons. She loved to dance, which is how she met her husband, David (Luke) Hall.
Born October 6, 1921 in Chickasha, OK, she and Luke danced their way through Texas and settled in San Antonio in the early 40's. Together they raised four children, Bill (Judy) Hall of San Antonio, Sue Hall Jones of La Vernia, Jim (Linda) Hall of Victoria and Jack (Terry) Hall of San Antonio. Among her children are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who are going to miss her dearly. For the last eight years she enjoyed living at Horizon Bay Assisted Living where she met many new and caring friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to any Hospice or the Charity of your Choice.
