

Jean was born on April 8, 1937, in Jacksville, Texas, to Bernice Jewel Gary and Buster Caveness. She grew up with strong values of faith, hard work, and kindness that stayed with her throughout her life.
She spent many years working for General Electric, where she was known as a dedicated and dependable employee. Jean was also an active and devoted member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, where her faith and sense of community were an important part of her life.
Giving back to others mattered deeply to Jean. She volunteered with San Antonio Boysville offering her time and care in service to young people in her community.
Outside of work and service, Jean found great joy in gardening and was a lifelong animal lover. She had a special place in her heart for cats, who were her constant companions and brought her comfort and happiness.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul A. Parker Jr.
She is survived by her stepdaughters, Amy Parker Hoveida, and her husband, Ray Hoveida; Susan Parker Satterfield and her husband, Steve Satterfield; and their children, Alex and Emily Satterfield.
Jean will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generosity, and the compassion she showed to both people and animals. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved.
