

Jeanette Brokenik Del Prado was born on December 14, 1959 and joined her parents, John and Betty Brokenik and her infant daughter, Alexandra, in heaven on February 13, 2013, at the age of 53. Jeanette graduated from Southwest Texas State University, where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority, in 1981, and began her career as an educator, that same year, with Northside Independent School District. She was an excellent mathematics teacher and over her 31 years of service, lovingly touched the lives of thousands of students at Pat Neff Middle School, Oliver Wendell Holmes High School and Earl Rudder Middle School. Jeanette spent her childhood traveling the world, with her military family, living in Japan and Italy, and graduated from high school in Colonial Heights, Virginia. Jeanette was a vivacious and lived a life which was full of family, friends, students and many, many dachshunds. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Amanda Louise Del Prado; sister, Marcia Fivizanni and husband Albert; brother, James Brokenik and wife Jane; niece, Trish Brokenik; great niece, Emma Brokenik; aunt, Margaret Olsen. Visitation will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238, on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a memorial service at 7:00 P.M.
