Jeanne Hancock Ballard, age 86, of San Antonio, died Friday, February 27, 2009. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Margie and Marie; brother, Herman Walker; and great-granddaughter, Gloria Hicks. Jeanne is survived by her loving husband, John S. Ballard, Jr.; children: Rebecca Hicks, husband Eugene, John Hancock, wife Christina, Kathleen Mendez, husband George, John S. Ballard III, wife Patti, Barbara Oswalt, husband Mike, and Richard E. Ballard; grandchildren: Nicole Timms, husband Jim, Scott Hicks, wife Kim, John Hicks, Alexis Jurek, husband Clint, James Mendez, Megan Mendez, Tracy Ballard, Kimberly Ray, husband Greg, John-Michael Oswalt, and Trent Oswalt; 8 great-grandchildren.
