Jeanne Stephens Coley, age 59, passed away July 6, 2018 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 30, 1958 to Wesley P., SR. & Martha (Martonik) Stephens. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew & loved her. We will especially miss her laugh, smile and her love for life.
Jeanne loved to rescue animals. She was always ready for the next adventure, no matter where or when. Her battle cry was, “I’ll go.” She was available to lend a hand to anyone for anything (legal). She was considerate to a fault. She lived life to the fullest and we will miss her tear-streaked laughter at the drop of a hat.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her mother (Martha Martonik Stephens) and father (Wesley P. Stephens, Sr.), older brother, Daniel T. Stephens (Florida), and her ex-husband, James Coley, Jr, formerly of San Antonio.
She is survived by her two adult children, Elizabeth Allen and Garrett Coley, both of San Antonio. She is survived by siblings, James W. Stephens (Florida), Margaret A. Stephens (San Antonio), Wesley P. Stephens, Jr. (Florida), Susan S. Nelson (TX), and Richard M. Stephens (TX). Various nieces include Catherine Stephens, Lindsay Stephens, Angela Espindola, and Mariah Nelson. Nephews include Alan McIntosh, Stephen Fisico, Ryan Fisico , Jason Fisico, Jason Nelson, and Ben Nelson. Great niece, Alana McIntosh and great-nephews Dade McIntosh, Carson Espindola and Kasen Miksik.
The Memorial Service will be at 3 P.M., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel on Austin Hwy in San Antonio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pet Adoption, Animal Rescues, or Animal Shelters in her name (ACS - Animal Care Services, Humane Society & Animal Defense League).
