

Jeff was born on September 7, 1971 in Ellensburg, Washington to Rebecca S. and John R. Wood. He married his college sweetheart, Leslie Smith, on June 25, 1994 in Plano, Texas.
He is survived by his wife Leslie; daughters, Emma, Allison and Meredith; both parents; his paternal grandmother, Frances Wood of San Antonio; his sister, Valerie Gourlas of San Antonio and his brother, Travis Wood of Plano; nieces, Abigail Martin, Paige Wood, MacKenna and Malynn Wyborny and Becca Jestis; nephews, Zach Martin, Jacob and Eli Wood and Drew and Lee Jestis; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jeff was an all-city offensive lineman for Churchill High School after which he received a football scholarship to Texas Tech where he was a two year starter as an offensive tackle. He was an ardent supporter of Texas Tech football and made the trek to Lubbock every year with his family.
Jeff was president and co-owner of Millennium Access Controls in San Antonio. He was an inventor and was the originator of two patents along with his father. Jeff was an avid hunter and great hunting buddy. He reveled in tales of deer that lived another year especially around the campfire with friends. Jeff was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend.
