

Born November 22, 1973, to Mary Evelyn “Meg” Grant and Curtis Theodore “Ted” Grant, Jennifer Grant Vizza lived a life full of love, accomplishments, and devotion to her family and community. She is preceded in death by her father, Ted Grant. She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Vizza; her children, Lauren McCrary, Carmella Vizza, Giovanni Vizza, and Luciano Vizza; her mother and main role model in life, Meg Grant; her sister and brother-in-law, Evy Grant Wilkinson and Kelly Wilkinson; her nephew, Henry Grant Wilkinson; and her grandchildren, Rocco and Mack Vizza.
Jennifer graduated from Southwest Texas State University in Applied Sociology with a 4.0 GPA where she later received her Master’s degree in Sociology and Psychology. She was a proud member of Chi Omega. Jennifer was the Director of Corporate Relations at the University of Phoenix for three years and taught as Instructor of Sociology at Texas State University for a combined eight years. She also was the Director of Academic Advising at her alma mater for almost five years.
Wearing many hats as leader, instructor, mom, and wife, Jennifer enjoyed traveling the world, listening to George Strait, and eating great meals with her husband and family. She was also a proud dog mom of Hank and Giada and a passionate animal lover. Her Christmas decorations and stocking stuffers were bested by no one. Jennifer’s legacy will be remembered through the love she showed her family, the joy she got from the simple things in life, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and warmth.
Please join us in celebrating her life at a memorial service on Saturday March 8th at 3:00pm at the Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the San Antonio Humane Society in her honor.
