She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack T. Garven, Sr.; her parents, Vera E. Stoker and Frank Wimberly and her sister, Lillian Wimberly.
She was a high school graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and attended two years at Westmoreland College.
Jenny was a seasoned traveler visiting: England, France, Germany, Canada and India. She was a lifelong member and very active with Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. Jenny was the secretary of Sunday school class and took many trips with the church as well.
Jenny is survived by her step-son, LTC Jack T. Garven, Jr. and his children, Robert, Edward and Kimberley; cousins, Lili D. Thrailkill and Lloyd M. Stafford; and second cousin, Sherri Vee Thrailkill. In accordance with Jenny's wishes, the family will have a:
