

Mrs. Buschman was born on March 19, 1926 in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Northside High School in Fort Worth, Whitworth College in Brookhaven, Mississippi, and Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
She gained an interest in fine arts at a young age and continued to support drama and theater as a founding member of the renovation of the Majestic Theater, the Symphony and Museum Boards, and a Founder of the Children's Museum of San Antonio. She has recently been honored by TCU as the 2002 Alumni of the Year, as well as, having the new University Theater named in her honor, the Jerita Foley Buschman Theater. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Charity Ball Association, Children's Shelter Board, Las Casas, Los Compadres, Battle of Flowers Association, Texas and Southwest Cattle Raisers Association and the San Antonio Public Library Foundation.
She is survived by her son, Guy Robert Buschman; daughters, Gretchen Buschman Spalten and Kristen Buschman Hicks; daughter-in-law, Cindy Anne Buschman; sons-in-law, Thomas A. Spalten and Clay B. Hicks; and grandchildren, Lesley Anne Buschman, Amanda Anne Buschman, Analise Spalten, Alan Spalten, Jonathan Spalten, Clayton Robert Hicks and Audrey Hicks. She joins her parents Guy B. and Oma Klebold Foley, who preceded her in death.
The family would like to send a special thanks to the SICU and PCU doctors and nurses at Northeast Baptist Hospital.
