Jerrell E. Davidson, Sr. went to be with the Lord at the age of 82 in La Vernia, TX on March 15, 2020. He was born on January 5, 1938 in Meridian, Mississippi to Homer and Sadie Davidson and is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda F. Davidson, and his parents. He is survived by his 3 sisters: Betty Jean Reynolds, Mary Ann Harris, Kathy Cates (Ronnie); 3 children: Jerrell Elgene Davidson Jr. (Tiffaney), Douglas Davidson (Brooke), Melissa Smith (Rick); 10 grandchildren: Dakota Davidson, Dalton Davidson, Darby Davidson, James Davidson, Brandon Davidson (Heather), Parker Nelson, Peighton Nelson, Justin Smith (Stephanie), Garrett Smith (Lauren), Kelsey Smith; 6 great-grandchildren: Brynlie Davidson, Liam Handley, MaKenna Davidson, Jameson Smith, Scarlett Smith, Bentley Smith, and numerous church members who were like family. Jerrell was a loving high spirited, detail-oriented man who never met a stranger. He was known for being a phenomenal handyman (with a PHD in fixology), the consensus among all was that if Jerrell could not fix it, then it must not be fixable. He was a Vietnam War Veteran who served honorably in the Air Force for 20 years before retiring and moving into the private sector aircraft industry for over 25 years. He was a devoted Christian, being one of the founding members of Life Church in La Vernia. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jerrell passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He will be dearly missed by all.

I was a nurse for Mrs. Davidson and had the privilege of knowing them both. He was such a wonderful person and I am so glad I was blessed to know him. He was such a character. My condolences to the family...

Rest easy, brother. I know that you are thrilled to be with your wife again. I have fond memories of the good times we had when we worked together at Fairchild Aircraft in San Antonio. Till we meet again.

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Jerrell's entire family. His Father and Mother and siblings were close friends and we grew up together in rural Mississippi. I always enjoyed Jerrell's visit when he came "home" to Snell. May he rest in peace and may precious memories bring you comfort.
