Jerry De La Garza

Jerry De La Garza, age 74, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, in San Antonio. He was born on December 21, 1948, to mother, Olga De La Garza, in San Antonio, Texas. Jerry graduated from Lanier High School in 1968, where he participated in the JRROTC. He went on to serve in the United States Army on October 28, 1968, until July 24, 1971, during the Vietnam Era.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Olga De La Garza; grandmother, Felicitas M. De La Garza; and sisters, Gloria Tarin and Yolanda Esquivel. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Berta De La Garza; children, Jerry De La Garza Jr., Brenda Marie Reyes, and Christopher James De La Garza; grandchildren, Dorian De La Garza, Olivia Davis, and Izabela Y Reyes; siblings, Abel Aguilar, Sam Aguilar, and Annette Lara; and uncle, Fred De La Garza.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary West.
