

Jesse Contreras Jr., 86, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on February 25, 2025. Born on June 27, 1939, in San Antonio, Jesse lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep love for his country.
Jesse proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years, where he rose to the rank of E-4. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and he dedicated his life to protecting the freedoms we all cherish. After his honorable discharge, Jesse continued his service in the civilian sector, working in the aircraft towing division. His work ethic and devotion to service made a lasting impact on those around him.
Though Jesse was a man of few words, he had a heart full of love for his family and friends. He was known for his simple nature, enjoying a quiet and peaceful life during his retirement. Jesse never sought attention or accolades, but those who knew him appreciated his humility, kindness, and gentle spirit.
Jesse was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Susie Contreras; father, Jesus Contreras; and sister, Celia Tarin. He is survived by his brother, Rudolph (Rudy) Contreras; and his sister, Alice Salazar. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Visitation will be held on March 20th, 2025 at 9:30 AM with a Chapel Service at 11:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio Texas, 78237, Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209 where he will receive military honors in recognition of his dedicated service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Jesse’s memory.
