Jesse Longoria, Jr.

Jesse Longoria II, 67 of San Antonio, Texas, passed away August 26, 2021. He was born on November 4, 1953 in Rio Grand City, Texas to Jesse Longoria Sr. and Angelita (Garcia) Longoria of Starr County, Texas.

In his early years, Jesse was a musician with his brothers in a Tejano band called Jesus Longoria y su conjunto. He started his law enforcement career with Starr County Sheriff’s Office. He moved his family to San Antonio in 1978 and worked as a deputy for Bexar County Sheriff’s Office until 1984. He then became a police officer for the San Antonio Police Department, until his retirement in 2008.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Longoria Sr.

He is survived by his mother Angelita, and his wife of 27 years, Maria (Fernandez) Longoria. He is also survived by his children: Jesse Longoria III, Daniel Longoria, Lauren Longoria, Cody Longoria, Rene Regino, Wilfred Regino III and their families. He has 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his siblings: Lucila Longoria, Leticia Burch, Javier Longoria, Linda Bravo, Jaime Longoria, Jacobo Longoria, Ludivina Zamora and their families.
