He was born July 21, 1922 in Dallas, TX to Eulogio and Nazaria Martinez Ochoa. Jesse served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, meeting his wife-to-be, Josephine Alice Gorman of Brisbane, Australia. When they returned to the States, he worked as a baker in California and returned to San Antonio after his retirement in 1989.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Josephine; all of his brothers and sisters; and companion of 5 years, Rosie Vaca and her son Danny.
Jesse is survived by his children: Jesse James and wife Tish, Roberta, and Rebecca; grandchildren John, Mandy and her husband Jim, Chelsea, and Cierra; and great-grandchildren Mary, Falyn, and Surya.
