Jesse was an amazing man, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Jesse built a successful career at Freeman Decorating Company and eventually retired as an Operations Manager allowing him more time to spend with his beloved family.
Family brought Jesse great joy in life and he cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. He was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s Honey Creek and donated to numerous charities. In his retirement when he wasn’t spending time with family he enjoyed working outside on numerous projects around the house.
He leaves behind his beloved family; children, Diane Zuniga “Jr” & Jennifer Vega and husband Dusty Vega; grandchildren, Maricela Morales, Elizabeth Davenport, Nadia Davenport, Genevieve Vega, Joshua Davenport, Dean Davenport, and Jacob Davenport; sisters, Mary Guajardo, and Lucy Reyes and many other extended family members.
Jesse has now reunited with his beloved wife Diane Zuniga and his siblings Mike Zuniga, Irene Hernandez and Molly Castillo.
A visitation for Jesse will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. A rosary will occur Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 910 North Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. A funeral mass will occur Friday, April 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church- Honey Creek, 25781 State Highway 46 W, Spring Branch, TX 78070. A committal service with military honors will occur Friday, April 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery- Honey Creek, 25781 State Highway 46 W, San Antonio, TX 78070.
