Jessica- I know you from long ago at a time in our lives when the summers were long. Of my many memories of my many summer days at Camp Letts, the memories of the two weeks shared with you are the fondest. I will forever feel fortunate for having had the opportunity to bask in your glow. Your energy, warmth, and generous heart have had long-lasting and far-reaching impacts on my life. You are truly one of the most beautiful spirits I have ever known and you set a standard I can only hope to one day achieve. And, I will never forget your alien antenna -? so, so cool! You are missed.

I went to school with Jessica in Ann Arbor from 1989 to 1992. I was blessed to be able to have her in my freinds circle and every moment I remember with her in those years and after only increased my gratitude for her presence in this world. Jessica was one of the most appreciative and beautiful people I have ever known. What I remember most was her ability to be genuinely vulnerable without losing any of herself, an openess and wonder at the world, and the kind of sincerity that only comes from true strength of spirit. I loved her. I hope that this vibration will reach her and those who carry her in their memories.

Dear Jessie, I remember playing 'house' in the bamboo of my back yard. I remember you were always quick to resolve any squables or disputes we 'little' kids had....yet you and Pippa and Helen kept us around anyway. I remember playing hide and seek with you, and building TeePees in the triangle. I remember roller skating and desperately tagging along with you and Pippa. I remember wishing everytime I saw you how I would love to trade places and be you - for just a day. Jess, you are/were that special...everyone could tell there was something unique and grounded and connected about you.... 
Oh, Jessie, I will remember the time I spent with you and the Potter's at the cabin... You were a true friend then...when I was so homesick. I'm sorry we did not keep in better touch throughout the years, but never have you been far from my mind. Allen, I was heart sick for you when Heather called to tell me about Jessica. Her sudden death has to have left a hugh cavern in your heart. there are so many memories, but i most recently remembered the beginning of my friendship with jessica. when i came to visit san antonio with my partner guy i met jessica and holly - two of the cutest girls i had ever met. i remember jessica being so beautifully friendly and genuine. the next few times on other visits jessica had said how great it was to see me and she and holly wanted to know if i was moving to san antonio... on the way back to san francisco i kept telling guy how blown away i was by the kindness and welcome they presented to me and when we did decide to move i thought of how i was definately afraid to step foot in texas without a return ticket in my hands but i was so anxious and excited to meet up with jessica again. subsequently we did meet up again, and as a fellow north eastener she helped me adapt and was always able to 'turn things over' so i could see the positive side. i have had the honor and privledge to be her friend which has been one of the warmest and sincere friendships i've had. she made it so easy - so easy to give and take. one other memory i want to share is when jessica asked me to spend the night once b/c allan was going out of town and she didn't like to spend the night alone. i never knew that... but that was one of the beautiful things about jessica, coupled with her great strength and independence was her vulnerability and intimacy. that was one of my most cherished moments with her. i love and miss you jessica

It seems like only a couple of years ago that Allen and I lived in the same house our senior year at Michigan. This is where I met Jessica and was fortunate to be able to spend time with the two of them. They were quickly inseparable and had a great relationship. I will always remember Jessica as someone who was easy to be around and had a great smile.

It is most comforting in any time of crisis, large or small, to know that they're individuals out there who are collectively holding in the vessel of their spirit, love and concern for 
those in need of it. We grieve in our hearts for the loss 
of such a beautiful and bountiful love that Jessica always will represent. Although her time here with us was brief, she leaves us the memory of her love, her compassion, her humor, and the influence on us as to how to live our lives with the same balance. I worked very closely with Jessica over the past year and a half through Hixon Properties on the storage development program. Though I know this type of development was not her first choice, she carried out her work with excellence, honesty and professionalism - and without a complaint. For this she earned my appreciation and respect. She was the soul and conscience of the team - always pushing us to do the right thing for the environment and the community. She was one of those rare, wonderful people who possessed a unique self-knowlege about who she was and what she liked. She was true to herself and her beliefs - and could communicate them with great influence. I think about her constantly and miss her immensely. I never knew Jessica personally. She worked at Pape-Dawson with my husband. A couple months ago I ran across a very touching note she had written to my husband concerning our son, who was born in April of '01. Our son was very ill when he was born and Jessica wrote a note about how she just knew he'd pull through and how lucky he was to have parents like us. I cried when I read that note recently and I cried when I heard Jessica's life was cut short. My prayers are with you.

When I heard the news from a fellow RPCS classmate I had that awful sinking feeling. Unfortunately, I have not been in touch with Jessica in years but have heard all of her exciting adventures through friends. In high school she always lead her way with a purpose and passion. The Erny Family

This tribute is written in sorrow for the family and friends of Jessica. We were fortunate to have met her several times. We knew Jessica mostly through her father's and Ann's loving, humerous stories. Jessica was obviously a very special young woman. We enjoyed her spunk at a Baltimore blues festival- Our deepest sympathies to Dennis, Ann , Meg, and Drew. Love, Cathy and Rick

Allen: 
Having seen you two at various family weddings, including ours in Sarasota,was like yet another family reunion, and Jessica always felt like a family member. While only having been able to see her at these functions, I am crushed at the loss of such a beautiful and intelligent woman. Anne and I will miss her terribly.

For Love is Immortality." I didn't know Jessica well, but I know how loved she was, and how that love will make all of you as strong as you have to be. I am thinking of you.

Dear Allen, The grief and shock of seeing Jessica's obituary was unbelievable. Please know that you and your family and Jessica's family are in our thoughts and prayers. We are so sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of being Jessica's eye doctor for 7 years. It was always great when I would see her name on the appointment book-because she was always so positive-and I knew that my time spent examining her would be fun. This summer my daughter was married, and there at the church during the ceremony my pager went off. I had forgotten to transfer my calls to another Dr for that day. It just happened to be Jessica paging me. She had sustained a corneal abrasion and was in some pain. Ordinarily, I would have referred her to a colleague since it was my daughters wedding--but since it was Jessica, I ran back to my office to see her in between the wedding ceremony and the reception--this is how much Jessica ment to me. I was trully shocked to hear the tragic news of Jessica's passing. In working with Jessica at the Pearl project for several months now, I have grown to respect and admire her. Although she was a client, she was also considered a friend. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of her loved ones. From all of the staff at Robles Demolition.

It was such a pleasure to know Jessica. Her concern for the environment and our City made a great impression on me. 
It was a privilege to work with her on Sustainable San Antonio, a few years ago when she was at Pape-Dawson.

Dearest Jessica, though I did not know you, I sense your passing with a numb emptiness. Your Father and Anne have had their hearts broken and I do not know what to say or how to comfort them. My thoughts today are with them. May God bless and keep you and bless them always.

Jessica: I will remember you as the leader that you always were. Devoted to your work and devoted to the ASCE. I will never forget on how outspoken you use to be. You had confidence and you show me that no matter how young we are, we can be as good as any long timer engineer. Allen, I am so sorry for you loss and I know that she is in a better place. My prayers are with you and her family.

I fondly recall watching Jessica and Allen dancing at our cousin Anne's wedding in Sarasota, Florida a couple of years ago. I was so in awe of their connection, the way you could just tell how in love they were with each other just by the way they danced together...in such harmony. Jessica will be remembered by me as a very sweet, intelligent, and beautiful person. She was a member of our family and will always be missed and loved by us all.
