Married to Horace Larry Cannon, Sr. for 76 years at the time of his death in 2002, they are together forever.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Albert and Sarah Augusta Natalia Knibbe Gerfers, one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by: daughters, Colleen Cannon Spivey and her late husband, Jimmy Lafeyette Spivey, Lorraine Cannon Kircher and her husband, Cliff V. Kircher; son, Horace Larry Cannon, Jr. and his wife, Margaret Davis Cannon; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and a past member of the Highland Park Lions Club Auxiliary. Jessie and Horace were members of the Shearer Hills Baptist Church. There will be a private family graveside service.
