Jesus "Chuy" M. Barbosa Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, entered into eternal rest on July 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on February 21, 1960 to Maria Elena Duarte and Jesus Barbosa Sr.
Jesus lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved most. Whether gathered around the dinner table, celebrating family milestones, or simply enjoying each other's company, Jesus cherished every moment with his children, grandchildren, and extended family.
A man of deep faith, Jesus found comfort and strength in reading his Bible and loved singing songs that lifted his spirit. One of his greatest pleasures was firing up the barbecue and bringing family and friends together for cookouts filled with laughter, good food, and cherished memories. He also loved family gatherings and treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
Jesus's memory will forever live in the hearts of his sons, Jesus Barbosa III, Miguel Barbosa, Adrian Barbosa (Jayde), and Anthony Barbosa (Michelle); his daughter, Irene Williams (Michael); his brothers, Roger Faz (Laurie), and Jose Barrera (Cynthia), his sister; Maria Salazar (Edward); his beloved aunt, Juanita Rodriguez; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; his brother-in-law, Rick Flores; his sister-in-law, Rosemary Flores; 22 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever cherish his memory and the love he shared with them.
He is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Elida Barbosa; his mother, Maria Elena Duarte; and his father, Jesus Barbosa Sr.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, the love, wisdom, and faith Jesus shared will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy of love, generosity, and devotion will remain an enduring blessing for generations to come.
