

“Jesse”, as he was known by those he loved, was born in Del Rio, Texas where he joined the US Army and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He worked several jobs after the war before retiring in 1999 as a counselor for the Texas Workforce Commission. He loved spending time with his friends and family, tending to his lawn, listening to Tejano music, reading the paper, and watching the Cowboys, Spurs and Texas Tech Red Raiders. Jesse was generous, kind hearted, and the life of every party, and he had a strong faith in God.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Olympia Rodriguez, and a son, Jesus Rodriguez Jr. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Rodriguez; two daughters, Kelly and Julissa; two sons-in-law Christopher and James; and grandchildren, Alexandra, Abigail, James, and Chloe.
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 10:00 A.M., with funeral service at 11:30 A.M. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with military honors.
