Jim grew up in Sapulpa Oklahoma, graduated from Sapulpa High School and for a short time went to Oklahoma University. He was a lifelong Sooner fan. He began his network engineer career with AT&T, which took him and his three children to Kansas City, MO. After a few years of being a single father he met and married Lorraine at which time they blended their families. Two years later they welcomed their fifth child and were soon transferred to Southwestern Bell in San Antonio, TX. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 31 years, but continued to work for many years with various engineering firms in San Antonio.
Jim was a very active leader in his church. He loved to teach Bible Studies and Sunday School classes and made many dear friends through this ministry. His faith in our Lord Jesus Christ kept him positive and strengthened his will. He had such a love for life, he loved to joke and had a great sense of humor. His humor and wit will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents Neal and Emma Hanna, brothers Bob and Dick Hanna, and grandson James Ezekiel Hanna.
Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years Lorraine Hanna; children, Nancy Hanna Klatt, Christopher ONeal Hanna and his wife Ana, James Nicholas Hanna and his wife Marcia, Jeanne Hanna Lewis and her husband Chad, Becky Hanna Allums and her husband Tim; grandchildren, Luis, Raul, Daniel, Stephanie, Kristina, Carlton, Jackson, and Cameron; five great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
