

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Bartee; parents and two brothers, Larry Bartee and J.D. Bartee; and a sister, Patsy Beddingfield.
Jimmy, a native Texan, attended Milby High School in Houston. He enjoyed all the great outdoors had to offer. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed displaying his many trophies. Jimmy was a successful businessman. He worked hard in the construction supply industry as vice president and owner of United Tool and Fastener.
He loved to spend time with loved ones. In his retirement years a favorite activity was grilling a great meal for family and friends. He also loved to go to breakfast at the many local Texas breakfast spots.
Jimmy attended St Elizabeth Ann Seton church where he was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, earning that honor in record time. He was also a member of the ACTS community.
He battled his health challenges courageously, inspiring those around him with his endurance and fortitude. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him deeply.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Joyce Bartee; daughters, Jennifer Deweerd (Dwayne), Janet Rodriguez (Rick); sons, Shane Mangum (Rachel), Paul Dockal (Jennifer), Peter Dockal (Rosa); grandchildren, Josh Bartee, Ashley Willcox, Kayla Deweerd, August Mangum; Matthew Grant (Jeanette); great- grandchildren, Harley Bartee, Finley Bartee and Harper Willcox; Emily, Rachel, Emma and Chance Grant. He is also survived by his Best Friend and Furbabies: Penny, TJ, Sophie, Freddie and GiGi.
