

Jimmy's interests and achievements included: altar boy at various church's in the USA and Europe; Boy Scouts; Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Mary's University; member of Lambda Gamma Fraternity, Rotary International, and LULAC Council No. 2. Notably, he was a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, and The Commissioners Court of Bexar County decreed him the honorary title of "Hidalgo de San Antonio de Bejar." He owned Park Place Awards and was at the fore front of producing Fiesta Medals. He was heavily involved in electing several "El Rey Feo" kings.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Santiago. He is survived by his mother, Mary Cruz Hernandez (San Antonio) and his siblings: Gloria (Helotes), Diane (Austin), David (Perth, Australia), and Mark (Phoenix).
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 7, 4-7 PM at Porter Loring 1101 McCullough Avenue with a rosary at 7 PM.
Mass will be held Wednesday, August 8, 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco Road.
Interment follows in Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Hwy.
