

Joanne C. Wright, affectionately known as "Jo" or "JoJo," passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas, on September 15, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on December 11, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents, Betty Jean and Joseph Edward Theriault, Jo brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her.
Joanne was the beloved wife of Ken Wright for 37 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter and love. Jo was a proud mother to Melissa Clayton and her husband Carl, and to her son, Sean Todd. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Trevor and Aubrey Clayton, who brought endless joy to her life.
She is survived by her sisters Gena Herold and her husband Noel, June Loft and her husband John, and Jane Tucker and Jackie Sotello, as well as her beloved dog, Wiley. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, and her three cherished dogs, Cowboy, Buddy, and Holly.
Joanne loved to draw – art was a big part of her life, and she was always working on something. She also had a passion for movies and documentaries, particularly those about the Titanic and ancient Egypt. Friends and family will remember her infectious smile, quick wit, and delightful quirkiness, which always brought light to those around her. She had an extraordinary ability to put others before herself, and above all else, she adored her family.
Joanne's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and humor. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will greet guests from 5:00 to 6:00 PM on Monday September 23, 2024, at Grace Point Church on Huebner Road.
