OBITUARY
Jody Ray SARGENT
September 28, 1957 – April 5, 2021
Sargent, Jody Ray, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 5th, 2021 at the age of 63. Jody was originally from Washington, PA. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in 1977; after graduation he became a Deputy Sheriff working for University Hospital, then transferring to Precinct #3 Constable’s Office. Jody continued his work in law enforcement until 2013 when he retired for a total of 23 years of service. Jody was a Past Master of Lonnie Irvin Daylight Lodge #1309 and a member of the Scottish Rite and Alzafar Shrine. He was also a member and current Worthy Patron of Prospect Hill Chapter #817. In addition, Jody served as Chapter Dad for San Antonio Chapter DeMolay. His service in Masonic organizations was one of his greatest joys. He especially enjoyed serving as a District Instructor for the Grand Lodge of Texas and was always ready to help others. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife, Diana Sargent; his daughter, Crystal Sargent; son, Christopher Sargent and his brother, Larry Sargent with wife Sherilyn; sister-in-law Barbara Sargent and Mother-in-law Helen Snyder. Also, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews: plus, numerous cousins. In addition; he is survived by his Aunt Janie Sargent of PA. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel on Monday, April 12th, 2021; visitation at 10:00 A.M. with services to follow at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Shrine Hospital.
